Residents of Northumberland Park estate and surrounding areas came to discuss the Council’s demolition proposals for their estate with StopHDV and Defend Council Housing activists, a Councillor and others. Among the issues discussed were tenant and leaseholder rights, the legal case against the HDV, the “right to return”, the nature of Lendlease as a developer, questions to be put to councillors, the Residents Association,

what is happening in the Labour Party to deselect pro-HDV councillors, the need for consultation followed by a ballot on the scheme and other concerns. The meeting over-ran the planned two hours because of the number of questions. The next meeting will be on Thursday 7 December at St Paul's Church, 60 Park Lane, N17
