Lend Lease, the company proposed to be the private sector partner in the HDV, have twice been stopped in Australia from using  flammable cladding, similar to the type that has been suggested to be responsible in the tragic fire yesterday in Grenfell Tower.

Whilst they were stopped in Australia, this was due to the stronger fire regulations in Australia that prevent the cladding from being used.

In the UK there are no regulations that prevent this material from being used, and Lend Lease have always shown a strong awareness of maximising their profit.

The StopHDV campaign are extremely concerned that there have been insufficient risk assessments into the HDV and without these in place the whole project is to high a risk to go ahead.
