A council has been forced to apologise after 30 residents were mistakenly told their homes were going to be demolished.
Homeowners on Nutfield Close, in Enfield, were were outraged after receiving plans which incorrectly listed 30 homes as being included in a redevelopment scheme.
Local resident Paul Burnham, of Haringey Defend Council Housing, says the mistake has done nothing to allay fears about the side-effects of regeneration schemes.
He said: "If you genuinely think you can make a mistake of this size and not have people start questioning your integrity, you will have another thing coming.
"The erosion of council housing and concentration on these regeneration schemes has done nothing but make locals more cynical about the council's intent." Read Full Article
